Egypt Pledges Support for Saudi Arabia Amid Regional Security Concerns

Egypt has officially declared its unwavering commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia's security, stating its full readiness to extend all necessary assistance amid escalating cross-border missile and drone threats.

The announcement comes as Gulf nations intensify defense coordination following repeated drone and cruise-missile attacks targeting vital civilian infrastructure in the Kingdom, including recent disruptions at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. Saudi civil aviation authorities and regional defense commands have heightened security measures across strategic hubs.

Egyptian authorities reiterated that the national security of Saudi Arabia and the broader Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states remains an integral part of Egypt's own national security framework. Cairo affirmed that any threat to the territorial integrity and stability of the Kingdom poses a direct risk to regional equilibrium.

In recent days, multiple regional allies including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Oman have rallied behind Riyadh, urging unified vigilance and stronger collective defense protocols to safeguard airspace and maritime passages. Regional partners continue to emphasize diplomacy alongside joint deterrence to protect critical trade lanes and civilian populations across the Gulf.
