Gulf States to Boost Diesel Shipments to France
Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Bahrain agree to supply diesel equivalent to 10 percent of France's consumption to help lower European fuel prices.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain have agreed to increase diesel shipments to France, covering the equivalent of approximately 10 percent of the European nation's total diesel consumption in the coming weeks.
According to official diplomatic sources, the measure is intended to help ease energy market pressures in Europe and bring down consumer fuel prices. French authorities noted that expanded supplies from Gulf producers will help stabilize supply lines amid broader market constraints.
Under previously secured arrangements, Saudi Arabia committed to supplying 95,000 tonnes of diesel per month across October and November, totaling 190,000 tonnes. In addition, the UAE and Bahrain are preparing to deliver a combined 100,000 tonnes of diesel in the upcoming period.
The energy transactions are set to proceed through French energy company TotalEnergies. Alongside the fuel supply arrangements, regional partners and French delegations have expanded bilateral dialogue surrounding broader strategic cooperation, including clean energy transitions, artificial intelligence, and advanced technology investments across the Gulf.
